A Time Before

The wind in the leaves whispers silently
A tale of the times long ago
When the trees and the rivers danced merrily
In the fields and the valleys below.

When the stars and the moon sang together
With the mountains a chorus behind
The sea will always remember
A time before man arrived.

When the skys belonged to the sky
And the oceans to only the sea.
Where the trees still grew high
As they danced upon the green.

The content is good, but the rhyming feels rather forced, the middle and last stanzas don't quite rhyme. I would just make this a free-verse poem. Rhyme can be constricting sometimes.

How can something whisper silently?
